Canada's size allows for a wide variation of climate. In the Pacific Coast West you may experience more moderate changes. Winters that are more mild and rainy with summers that bring warm pacific winds. In our prairie regions, the summers may be hot, but are calm, quite often offering steady temperatures. In the winter heavy snow is often anticipated. The central region of our nation receives an abundant snowfall, but winter that gives way to higher temperatures towards summers peak, brought by weather systems from the great lakes and Hudson's Bay. Our northern regions receive a blanket of snow that covers the tundra landscape for much of the year. Though during the summer months the region offers warm inviting temperatures.
